Just received the new Bullet Express and tried to shred a carrot. Works fine and feels like a quality machine. However, cleaning after using is a job, as is changing the various pieces for all the uses. We are 2 people, and I think with our Magic Bullet, a Cusinart food processor, and old blender, we can do just about everything the new Bullet Express does. Also, we do not have room for all the parts in this Bullet Express. Takes a lot of cabinet space and work space. Probebly good for a large family and every day use.
This silly machine couldn’t even handle the cheesecake recipe that the book they sent with it said. First things kept going wrong because the recipe was poorly wrote out. Then while mixing the cream cheese and other ingredients, the motor gave out and stopped working all together! And I had the same problem with carrots flying all over the kitchen in different shapes and sizes. This was a total scam!
I bought the Bullet Express and I LOVE IT! I GIVE IT A 10 STAR! It is just like the informerical. I made lots of meals for my family. Yes, the motor will overheat if you leave it on for like 5 minutes straight. That goes with All food processors. It’s common sense. This is my favorite food processor I’ve even owned. The juicer is wonderful too!
got my bullet express on saturday & burned the motor up on Sunday. it was cheap made and will not even chop an onion. i called to send it back and they are not very nice when you want to return something. by the time you pay shipping 2 ways it will cost you $70.00. i guess this is a leason well learned, never buy anything of TV and you have to pay shipping to return.
Vicky, Do you work for the bullet express company?
The bullet express wasn’t thought through. It was a good idea, but does not perform like it does on the infomercial. I tried to grate cheese and not only did cheese fly ALL over the place, but the cheese that happened to make it into the bowl was more ground than it was shredded. The juicer works well, but also makes a huge mess. Probably will take it back
i think it works great ive had my magic bullet for like 2 years and had bullet express for 9 months they both work great and!!!!!!! there dishwasher safe i had a hand mixer 2 750 dollar food processer and 2000 juicer that now collect s dust i love it and the second one it sent me i gave to my mother she loves it to she thinks its little annoying because she dosent have a dishwasher but it still works great i just cant believ i spent almost 4000 on my stand mixer juicer blende food proccer when i could of baught this im so happy its the bomb
I found the claims to be misleading as,whilst the ad says “Two whole turkey breasts!!” the booklet says to dice evenly any meats.
I tried to make a chicken meatloaf (turkey breast isn’t very plentiful in country Australia…at least not where I live) and ended up needing to cube the meat as advised, as the machine could NOT cope with two whole chicken breasts even though they are smaller than turkey. The end result was not overly pleasing.
It was difficult to use at times with only one person on hand, I found it cumbersome and unless you held the collecting bowl close to the spout it made a mess.
Tried to make the pizza dough, the motor froze as somehow, dough had gotten into the spindle area and jammed the whole set-up and it was also difficult to clean the fough out of the area it got into.
It cannot handle grating cheese. I had the same result as Carcar in that area.
The juicer attachment is fabulous but I find that it is the only saving grace for the whole machine, therefore not worth the overall cost.
The Magic Bullet itself is wonderful and I did purchase the Bullet Express based on the claims made in the Express infomercial and my excellent personal experience with the Magic Bullet but I returned the Bullet Express.
The customer service i received in Australia was far better than I had expected owing to others experiences. I had no problems at all getting the correct information so that was a bonus hehe.
I do not feel that I placed any heav y demands upon the machine, only what it was touted as being capable of, and I am well aware that you must not run the machine continuously. Any faults I had with the machine were due to its inability to meet its own stated abilities.
And I must add, I am somewhat envious of those who have had a hassle-free time with the Bullet Express, as It was a present to myself and I did so want it to be on a par with the Magic Bullet as I don’t think I have said yet that the Magic Bullet is awesome! hehe. Sadly the Bullet Express was not, but I am glad for those who find it to be wonderful
Thank you
The Bullet express is crap! It doesn’t work near as good as well as the commercial says it does!. If you want a good machine I recommend buying one from a well known brand like kitchenaid. I sent mine back and they only gave me a partial refund because they said I didnt send back the “receipe book” back! I lose 60 bucks because of a little 25 page book!
I bought the Bullet Express and after about 5 uses the food processor broke. I tried the shreader but what a mess. It doesn’t shread the entire piece of whatever it is and that piece gets stuck in the machine. It’s not easy to use. I got the juicer free with my purchase and it’s a piece of crap compared to my Powerman juicer. Of course I passed the 30 day money back guarantee so there was nothing that they could do. So after one month I threw the damn thing in the garbage and learned a lesson. Read the reviews before buying. I went and bought a cuisinart…what a dream. It’s the best!!
I bought the Bullet Express and followed their turkey meat loaf recipe exactly as shown in their video. The machine motor died as it was cutting/processing all the ingredients together. The burning smell was appalling and it stayed all over the house for almost an hour. I had to open all the windows. I returned the Bullet Express and I explained to them what had happened. I am very disappointed with this item.
I am very unhappy with the bullet express. I agree that it does not shred or mince the entire piece of anything you put in it. When using the slicer it flies out all over the place. Cheese does not shred it just crumbles. You can’t mince just one onion or anything small like garlic because it sticks to the sides and the blade doesn’t reach it. And know the mixer top has broken. I would not reccommend this to anyone!
I ordered one that was supposed to be shipped out with in a week. I called back after a week and was told it had been just shipped and I should get it by the beginning of next week. Already over 2 weeks have gone by…. I called again and they said it was back ordered and never shipped out… so they lied. When they said i would get it by a certain date and I didn’t I called back and was told that it had just gone out and that I would have to pay the return shipping. What a joke, wait they will always show up in a store such as Canadian Tire etc… for half the price and no shipping and also great customer service from the store. Have purchased from TV before and was happy… but this has left a bad taste and so I will now wait for a store to carry it.
It’s $120, not 6 easy payments out of your pockets for less then a cup of coffee a day…blah blah blah..
IT”S $120!!!! Just say it, before I punch you in the mouth!
I have had my Bullet Express for several months now and love it. As far as mixing, and fixing things…I have had no problems with it. I do however agree that it takes up a lot of room and has a lot of parts to clean, even with a dishwasher. Plus the advertisement shows you can put in huge pieces of watermelon etc. I would advise you don’t and would advise you use small apples etc. If you treat it with respect you will get good results.
LOL Jim. Your comment is right on the mark! Thanks for all the reviews. I think now I’m not going to buy one. The negative comments out weigh the good ones.
I am so glad I looked up the reviews before my husband and I bought this product, we were getting ready to order one this Sat. Thank You for saving me I told you so from my husband he said it looks like cheaply made and hard to believe that it works like they claim. I Thank All of You
cosco sells bullet express in their store
My wife bought a bullet express. On about the 3rd time using it, it quit working and put out an electrical smell. She was mixing some soft butter and shredded cheese. It cooled off and would run again, but with hardly any power. We contacted bullet express customer service and told them what happened and that it was still in our first 30 days. They e-mailed us with a bunch of questions, which we answered and ask what to do next. That was over 10 days ago and still no response. The motor on this unit appeared to be weak and cheap.
Thanks for all your comments guys – I will not buy the bullet express either I agree with what Suzie said: “The bad comments out weigh the good ones” …. Amen to the WEB!!!
I bought one a few weeks ago and have only used the blender and the shredder. I must say, so far so good. Yes, it is bulky and has a lot of attachments but it is well worth it. I am very happy with it!!! I bought it at Bed Bath and Beyond and used a 20% off coupon so I got it for a $100. Not bad for all 3 pieces!!! I highly recommend it if you treat it with care!!!
Wow..I was seriously thinking of buying this, but now I definitely WILL NOT purchase it. Thank you for all the honest comments.
Just bought the BulletExpress and what a mess- there is nothing express about the mess after the fact. I turned it on and it melted the plastic top of the juicer- smelled like burning motor and made my juice smell a little like that too! I was sad to see that it was made so cheaply –gee what a couple bucks to make it China…
Well back to the store with it…..
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! IT IS A CHEAPLY MADE PRODUCT AND THEY WON’T HONOR THE 30 DAY GUARANTEE! I should have read the reviews before buying the 3 piece Bullet Express. I bought it for my daughter, after 3 days she told me the juicer didn’t squeeze out all the juice, this was after repeated usages; messy to clean up. It also gave out a burning odor. The salad making part of it, doesn’t work as advertised. I told her to pack it all up and I would return it since it didn’t do what it was suppose to do. Anyway, she decided to try it some more since they really don’t give good instructions on how to put it together, or really how to use it. I saw her on the 26th of April (a Sunday, exactly 30 days. I didn’t call until the 27th, a Monday, because I didn’t think they would be opened on a Sunday. No where on their invoice does it say they are opened 24/7 as the representative told me when I called in and he very firmly told me there wasn’t anything I could do about it since it was past my 30 day money back guarantee. I told him I just wanted the juicer replaced since it wasn’t working right. He kept repeating that there wasn’t anything he could do because I had already passed the 30 day guarantee! ONE DAY – and not even a complete day, because I called them first thing on Monday morning. So basically I was shafted! I paid the full amount outright, no flex payments (my mistake). Now I am stuck with a juicer that hasn’t worked and out of my money. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! THIS COMPANY DOES NOT HONOR THEIR GUARANTEES AND THEIR PRODUCT IS POORLY MADE AT BEST!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! IT IS A CHEAPLY MADE PRODUCT AND THEY WON’T HONOR THE 30 DAY GUARANTEE!
Thank a bunch for the comments everyone. The bullet express must really suck!
WOW. I am so disappointed. I was so excited to go buy the B Express at BedBath and Beyond next week. I had high expectations about it; never thought it would turn out to be cheaply made of a pice of crap…
my dad bought the bullet express, i think this machine is a great investment if you have a maid or children to clean the mess it makes, and if you have plenty of closet space to store the parts.. this machine should come with a bowl to catch the flying vegetables that shoots out of the machine I also noticed the juicer did not effectively strained the pulp, i like the concept of the machine and will try out some of the recipies but dislike the mess that the machine makes. In a nut shell this machine is quite messy and takes up alot of space to store the additional parts.
My family and I are SHOCKED that there are any good reviews for this product. We say “Amen to all the bad reviews this product got. We have one word for all of you…Cuisinart!”
Awww, what a lunch bag let-down
Thank you all for your reviews…sorry that they came from your own expense :s I almost bought one the other night but stopped myself. WOW, I can’t believe the Bullet Express could be that bad!
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Got a Bullet Express a few months ago and now it’s in the garbage. There’s nothing I like about it. Sure it shoots out your salad – shoots it across the counter. Cleanup is very difficult. The blades are very hard to disengage. It can’t handle jobs that it is advertised to do. There is a burning smell while trying to grind food. Now the cheap plastic clips are broken and the machine won’t turn on. I can’t see why the manufacturer can’t use stronger materials. PIECE OF GARBAGE. DO NOT BUY THIS. Did I mention that I hate this machine?
