Product Overview:
The steam pocket mop is designed so you can controls the amount of steam use. It uses regular tap water but if you have hard water in your region it is recommended that you try to use distilled. You should allow it to heat for 30 second after you plug it in and have filled it with water. The handle should be pumped about 15 times to prime it. Clean the floor with a natural back and forth mopping action.
What about big messes how do you use it then? It is recommended that you pump the handle many times and force as much steam out of the mop to clean the problems area. The extra steam will remove the harder build up. Steam pocket pads should be washed after every use in regular detergent. Use liquid detergent and air dry do not put in dryer for better wear. The carpet glider is great for surface cleaning.
Pros and Cons
The pros are it is easy to use and steam is a great way to clean floors and remove extra dirt. The pads can be used for two to three months then be replaced. They are easy to wash in the washing machine with your regular wash and let them dry naturally. The cons are sometimes the Shark Steam Pocket mop leaves water on the floor you may need a new pad so replace it but unplug the unit first before you do this.
Sometimes the floors are streaky so again make sure the pad you use is clean. You may want to clean greasy areas with a solution before you use our Shark Steam Pocket mop. Don’t let the mop sit in one area too long keeps it moving and remember a clean pad works better than a dirty one. Most include six cleaning pads, glider and one year warranty. I’ve just used it for the first time and I really like it! It did leave streaks on my floor, even when I put vinegar in with the water, but not enough that I am worried about it. I am sure the second time I use it, it will be fine. It’s light, works quickley and easy to use. So far… I love it!
I love, love, love my shark steam pocket mop! I showed it to 3 of my friends and they bought one and they love theirs too. As far as the streaking, make sure to use Distilled water. I really believe it makes a difference. Also if the pad gets too soaked, it will leave streaks. Just turn the mop over to the other side. It might be handy to have a 2nd pad to switch to if both sides get too soaked. I haven’t had to switch pads during my mopping session. I highly recommend the shark steam pocket.
