Xpress Redi Set Go Reviews

The Xpress Redi Set Go is a little cooker that packs a lot of punch.  I had seen the infomercial with Cathy Mitchell a few times, but I was hesitant to order because it was hard for me to believe that I would be able to use the grill as smoothly as Cathy.  Boy was I wrong.  The reason it looks so effortless to use is because it is.

redi_set_go I ordered the Xpress Redi Set Go on a Saturday (with express shipping) and received my unit on Thursday morning.  When I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised to see not only the cooker, but FIVE cookbooks which I had no idea I was getting.  The cookbooks are cute and colorful and the instructions are simple and organized – they even go so far as tell you which meals will cost less than $1 per serving, which cook in 7 minutes or less (which in my experience ends up being most meals) and which have less than 100 calories per serving (great for my weight watchers program).

Also included was a spatula (which has been very handy when I need to clean out pancake batter and the likes), a divider pan, and a round divider pan with 6 trays called the “mini-food pan” which can be used for things such as muffins and eggs.

Setting up and using the cooker was as simple as plugging it in.  I couldn’t wait to try it out.  Be careful when you turn it on because they are not kidding when they say it heats up fast! I put in the mini-food tray and turned the unit on and I thought I’d give it a few minutes to heat up while I prepare my omelet ingredients but before I was done cutting my peppers I could tell the cooker was ready to go.  When I poured the eggs in, they started sizzling as soon as I put them in.  The recipe called for 10 minutes, but they were done in about 7 and they were really delicious.  I put peppers, cheese and salsa (my own addition to the recipe) inside the omelets and they came out better than ever!  They were cooked just right, where the peppers were not hard or mushy, but the cheese was melted and the salsa was warm and delicious.  And best of all, they looked perfect.  Since that first time I have used the Redi Set Go many times and the only complaint I have is that I wish I had bought two.  When my sister brings her kids over I could really use the second unit to cook for all the kids.  But as far a cooking, cleaning and storing the Xpress Redi Set Go, I couldn’t be happier.  I’d give it 5/5 stars.

I loved it when I got it, and the steak and mushrooms with onion is my husbancs favorite thing. The steaks are great. However, the taflon coating on mine has already started to peel off. Has anyone else had that problem? It’s only been a month since I got it.

I left a comment yesterday that was deleted. When i called to order the automated system, it offered for free/9.95 a month you can get special inserts, recipes. It said press 1 or say yes, press 2 or say no. After pressing 2 and saying no 9 times it was obvious the machine was rigged to automatically deduct from your credit card. I called the 800# and told them i want no deductions or transactions from this co, and an e-mail confirming such. i never received it. Also the redi set go burns things easily because you cannot regulate the heat. it is hard to clean. I bought one, this is my honest testimony DO NOT DELETE MY COMMENT I WILL RE-WRITE IT OVER AND OVER

I was considering to purchase the Xpress Redi-Set-Go, but have changed my mind since I will not buy a product with so many customer complaints.
The issue with the Telfon peeling and costumer complaints about the company’s deceptive pricing is not what I’m looking for. I need a stable product that will do the job as it says it will.
However, I liked what was shown in the infomercial and I am still looking for a product that can cook that way. I also need it to be durable and useful on the daily basis.
Is there any other cooking machine that can perform tasks like the Xpress Redi-Set-Go, but without too many problems? (if price wasnt too much of an issue)
